  Ever been told you snore (nooooo!)? Ever had to take allergy medication but it never got better and you never knew why? Ever woken up to drool on your chin and a dry mouth but you swear you don't mouth-breathe?  Yeahhhhhh----what if I told you one of the answers may be air? Yep. AIR. The stuff you came out of the womb needing and need every day of your life. It gets complicated, but it's really really simple. And to help you decode the complicated so you understand it all is this office. From front of the house (I'm talking about YOU, Ms. Kayla, cause you are amaze-balls) to the head honcho himself, Dr. Young, this office will teach you, help you, and in the end, you are doing more than fixing the problem. You learn what caused it in the first place and how to stop it from happening to your kids, your nieces and nephews, your grandkids...yeah, IKR?! Awesome.  I went in for my kiddo who has had allergies, breathing problems, drooling at night, snoring, waking up tired despite 10 hours of sleep, crowded teeth, etc. We did Benadryl, tooth extraction, all kinds of medication, you name it. And with a gross visual exam & 2 visits, Dr. Young zeroed in on what was happening in a way I did NOT expect. It was like a lightning bolt. A face-palm moment. Remember the old song about the hip bone being connected to the leg-bone, etc.? Cause everything is connected, which yeah, you knew, but connected in this way? REVE-FREAKING-LATION. Real explanations with real science with real anatomy. No hocus-pocus-y concoctions or drugs that will later be blamed for the glowing third arm or eyebrow on your thigh. No mystical/magical stuff. Just anatomy, data, and real techniques with a real time-line and measurable results. If you are tired of being tired, tired of never-ending meds that don't really do all they promise, tired of teeth that don't fit in your mouth, and ready to fix it, this is the office to see.  A dentist by trade but with sooo much more unique training, Dr. Young is good with kids, good with adults, and shares knowledge about what he is doing and why but never talks down to you. Truly a unique practice and perspective.  Accepts many dental insurances, but do be prepared to pay for some specialty services (ever heard of a High-Resolution Pulse Oximeter? Yeah, it is a thing. You know how you know something is wrong but your regular doctor tells you nah, it's all in your head and here have a pill/"we'll watch and see" but you just get worse and worse because that sleep study says you're within normal limits? You might not be and it isn't in your head. You. Are. Not. Crazy. You just were studied with instruments that aren't as thorough as they could be. Sooooo...Enter the HRPO. Check it out.) out of pocket a bit, although it is not at all unreasonable.  Comfortable, easily accessible office in the Ala Moana Building. Best bet is to get there by going up the Keeamoku St. ramp from Kapiolani Blvd., turn right at the top of the ramp, then go STRAIGHT--yes, bypass the attendant entrance on your right and instead head up the next ramp to the 3rd floor. Take your first left onto the 3rd floor level, and then take another left. You will be in the parking structure right across from the Ala Moana Building, and there is a walking/stroller accessible ramp at the far corner that connects you right to the Ala Moana Building's 4th floor. It is far, far easier and has more parking than the top floor of the Ala Moana Building, and it is covered so your car doesn't boil. Walk to the 4th floor entrance, and catch the elevator to the 12th floor. Take a right, head down the hall, and they'll be on the left side. No validation worries, no stress about how long you'll be parked. Easy. (And then you can go to Starbucks or shopping after--win-win!) Accepts credit cards. Knows what he is doing and has excellent support staff who also know what they are doing. Recommend.
